Two pairs of parents attempt to hold a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a playground fight, though as their time together progresses, increasingly childish behavior throws the evening into a comedy of chaos and bad manners. The adults start acting like children in this edgy satire from Yasmina Reza that catapults the IRT audience into the middle of a war zone where words are the weapons and things are never what they seem. Winner for Best Play at the 2009 Tony Awards.
IRT’s playwright in residence, James Still, directs this edgy satire from Yasmina Reza. Still’s award-winning plays have been produced at theatres throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, China and Australia.
This production contains strong language.
