The Garfield Park Arts Center is very proud to present the creative works of 10 individually invited Indianapolis-based artists as they interpret the theme, “What Indy Parks Means to my Community: the first 100 years and beyond.”  Interspersed with these contemporary works are photographs and narratives about some of our 207 parks compiled and created by Indy Parks’ employees and volunteers.  Visit us Saturdays and Sundays in the Arts for All room as we create 100 Years of Indy Parks commemorative clay tiles.   When you are done leave them with us and let the GPAC staff glaze and fire them for you for pick up at a later date.

The Opening Reception for this exhibition is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, 5-7 p.m., at the Arts Center, 2432 Conservatory Drive, Indianapolis. The exhibition will be open from Dec. 3 to Jan. 15 during regular center hours: Wed/Thu 2-9 p.m., Fri/Sat 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sun 1-5 p.m.

This exhibition is open to the public and is a free exhibit. We hope you will stop by during the holiday season to visit this one-of-a-kind event. For more information, visit, or call 317-327-7135.
