On Broadway, Egan vividly portrayed ‘Sally Bowles’ in Cabaret longer than any actress in Broadway history, winning critical acclaim.  She starred in the title role of Thoroughly Modern Millie; originated starring roles in Triumph of Love and State Fair; and received both Tony Award® and Drama Desk® nominations for “Best Actress” as Broadway’s original ‘Belle’ in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.  Egan also starred alongside Carol Burnett in Sondheim’s Putting It Together at the Mark Taper Forum and Tommy Tune in the national tour of Bye, Bye Birdie.

On film, Egan gave the sultry voice to ‘Meg’ in Hercules, and sang the role of Angel in Lady and the Tramp II.

Susan has performed solo concerts all across the country and sung with over thirty symphony orchestras with appearances at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Hollywood Bowl.  She has over 40 recording credits to her name from Broadway cast albums to film soundtracks, including her three critically praised solo CDs: All That and More, So Far, and her latest, Coffee House.
