Dial Broadcasting, Incorporated announces the grand opening celebrating the new studios and offices of WKID 95.9 Froggy Radio located at 315 Ferry Street in downtown Vevay, Indiana. The grand opening will take place from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday August 3, 2012.

WKID was founded in1975.  It began as a religious music station appealing to many local and regional churches.   A few years later the station became about half religious and half of the time playing western and country music.  In 1992 the station switched to a complete country format.

In 1999, Ken Trimblecame on board as the Vice President and General Manager.  Trimble changed the station staffing from three full time DJ’s to only one and the station became ‘live’ only during the early morning show (6-10am).  He also setup the Froggy network we are currently a part of supplying the station with music and talent throughout the rest of the broadcast day.

In 2012, Adam Griffinwas named the General Manager and the station was relocated to the new studio and office location on Ferry Street, close to where the station started originally.

The public is invited to stop by the new studios and offices to take tours, record liners and promotional spots in our production studio, see the on-air studio, meet our staff and learn more about radio broadcasting. Refreshments will be provided.

Also take time to experience Vevay’s First Friday and enjoy music, art galleries, shopping, and food in downtown Vevay from 6-9 pm.
