North Central’s King’s Court Singers to Perform
Back by popular demand, the King’s Court Singers from North Central High School will perform two shows on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the Fishers Renaissance Faire.
King’s Court is a 42-member co-ed choir under the direction of Joyce Click that presents various genres – most notably madrigal compositions – in period dress (circa 1500). At the outdoor fair, the singers also will roam the crowd performing impromptu music and skits written during or in the style of the Renaissance. Students in grades 9 through 12 participate.
For more than 30 years, the King’s Court Singers have performed in sold-out Madrigal dinners, churches, Pacer games, the Fishers Renaissance Faire, and, just last week, at the Carmel International Arts Festival. The group has been named a Gold Medal Choir with Distinction at the State Qualification Contest and Overall Grand Champion Choir in the Music in the Parks competition.
