The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site invites guests to know a different type of campaign, one not broadcast nationally on television, but one conducted largely on the front porch of Benjamin Harrison’s Delaware Street home.  Join us for Election Day: LIVE from Delaware Street on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

Benjamin Harrison campaigned for president with a series of more than 80 front porch campaign speeches to more than 300,000 spectators.  Visit the very home where those speeches were made, and stand in the spot where Harrison officially accepted the presidential nomination of the Republican Party, on a live re-enactment tour that will transport you back to the year 1888.  Guests will feel the excitement building as Harrison’s family and household staff gear up for his run for president.  Enactors portraying General Harrison, Caroline Harrison, the butler, cook and seamstress will greet guests as they tour each room of the Delaware Street mansion.

Election Day: LIVE from Delaware Street takes place Tuesday, November 6.  Tours run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. beginning every half-hour from the front door.  Adult member tickets are $10. General adult tickets are $12 and student tickets are $5 (ages 5-17).
