It’s that time of year again when flannels are in fashion and night robes become winter coats at the 17th annual Pajama Sale in Shipshewana, Indiana.

On Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, dozens of retailers and hundreds of guests join in on the fun in downtown Shipshewana. Shops open as early as 5:00 a.m., and for anyone who shops in pajamas, discounts run deep.

From furniture to fabric or hot drinks to home decorations, retailers offer sales anywhere from a free gift with purchase all the way up to 60% off some items.

Beth Thornburg, Executive Director of the LaGrange County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, said, “The Pajama Sale has become a banner event for our area. People love coming to it. Groups or spouses will show up wearing matching pajamas and have a great time the entire day.

“Some guests stay overnight at one of our local inns, hotels, or bed and breakfasts. Many of the managers say the Pajama Sale has become a highlight for them, as visitors are in fun-loving, festive spirits.”

For a list of participating retailers and discounts, guests can stop by the Visitors Center located at 350 South Van Buren Street (State Road 5), in the Next Door Shoppes.
