Laura Palmer, a two-year member of ComedySportz Indianapolis, has quite a summer ahead of her.  She will be working for “The Late Show with David Letterman” as a Production Intern this summer in New York, New York.  Her internship will begin May 20, 2013 and continue until mid-August.

A junior at Miami University in Oxford Ohio, Laura is an Indiana native who began her improv experience in high school, where she played on a ComedySportz High School League team for three years.  After graduation in 2011, she continued practicing and playing with the professional team at ComedySportz Indianapolis.  Palmer is also the co-president of her college improve troupe, Sketched Out Improv.

“When I got the news that I had been selected, I could barely contain my excitement!” says Laura. “This internship is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn from the best in the business and I plan on working incredibly hard. I am also excited to meet the players of ComedySportz New York City because they perform only a block or two down from the Late Show offices!”
