Limestone Heritage Festival

Celebrate The Fourth in downtown Bedford and enjoy all that makes summer special! A parade beginning at noon, live music, an old-fashioned ice cream social from 1:30pm – 4:30pm at Thornton Park and fireworks, of course! Click here for more information or call 812-275-4493.
Old Fashion Independence Celebration
Mon, July 1 – Sun, July 7  

Visit Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell for an Old Fashion Independence Celebration! Each day will offer opportunities for making crafts such as a yarn doll, bracelet or bag with July 4th, 6th & 7th offering all day activities some of which include a lake hike, Village tour and presentation on mourning customs of the 1860’s. Lawrence County Fair
Sat., July 6 – Sat., July 13
Summer just wouldn’t be summer without an outing to the 4-H Fair at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. Join us for a week’s worth of great fair food, concerts, tractor & truck pulls, queen contest, thrilling midway rides and more! $5 parking fee. Gate fee begins at 4pm. 33rd Annual ABATE Boogie, Springville
Thu, July 18 – Sun, July 21
Experience the Midwest’s Best Biker Fest as Lawrence County Recreational Park plays host to The Boogie! Enjoy live music, a motorcycle rodeo, a bike show, swap meet, tattoo contest, chance to win a Harley, scenic bike ride & more! Admission is $40. Gus Grissom Day, Mitchell

Visit the Grissom Museum in Spring Mill State Park and participate in special programs to celebrate the second American in space. One of the capsules Grissom piloted and his actual space suit are on display in the museum along with interactive exhibits and artifacts from his life and career.
