Press Release
Eiteljorg Museum

Celebrate the 4th of July with free admission at the Eiteljorg Museum in White River State Park, 500 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Admission is free today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Then stay for a great view of the downtown fireworks show at dusk to be shot from the roof of Regions Bank, weather permitting.

There’s just one month left to experience the Eiteljorg’s Guitars! Roundups to Rockers exhibit. And you can do it free of charge today, July 4. More than 100 guitars—owned by greats including Roy Rogers, Charlie Christian, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Woody Guthrie, Buddy Holly, Les Paul and others— are on display.

And don’t miss our Guitars! programming day on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Eiteljorg guests can spend a few hours partying like a rock star. Those too timid to get real tattoos can test the waters – with the help of an airbrush tattoo artist with a host of rocker-themed designs. And the line might be a little long, but the wait is worth it! Caricature artist, Mike Altman, will Sharpie-sketch the faces of museum guests – free of charge! And for kids of all ages, there’s Guitar Hero, free guitar lessons, guitar pick jewelry-making and local bands Everything, Now! and Street Spirits, who will feed your appetite for live music!  All activities are included in  museum admission.

Have a great Independence Day! For more information, visit, or call 317-636-9378.
