Just because times are tough financially, your family doesn’t have to miss out on rich, educational experiences. The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis offers an Access Pass, which enables qualifying families to pay just $1.00 admission per person per visit! Indiana families receiving state assistance, such as food stamps, Hoosier Healthwise insurance or temporary assistance (TANF) may enroll at the museum box office, with required documentation, and begin utilizing the discount admission immediately.

“The creation of the Access Pass is a wonderful way the museum and its partners, reach thousands of Hoosier families throughout the state to ensure all children and families, regardless of income are able to learn and grow together,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

The Terre Haute Children’s Museum is the most recent museum/attraction to join the state-wide effort, organized by The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The Children’s Museum launched the program in 2004 and expanded over nine years to also include Conner Prairie Interactive History Park, the NCAA Hall of Champions, the Indiana Historical Society, and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art in offering greatly reduced admission to families in need throughout the State of Indiana.

Those who don’t qualify for the Access Pass still have the opportunity to visit the museum for FREE on Target Free Family Night. The first Thursday of each month is free to all visitors from 4-8:00 p.m.

To qualify for the Access Pass, families must show proof of current enrollment in a qualifying program by presenting a recent Letter of Eligibility from Hoosier Healthwise or HoosierWorks and an Indiana state-issued photo ID. For more information on enrolling in the Access Pass program and more details on the required documentation please visit or call 317-334-4000.
