Labor Day Concert on Georgia Street, Aug. 31

The Central Indiana Labor Council announced an exciting line-up of entertainment planned for Labor Fest, a free-admission street festival with live music, food and beverages, kids’ activities and demonstrations from unions across central Indiana.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, Georgia Street will play host to an eclectic mix of performers to help celebrate Labor Day weekend, and to mark the start of a new local annual tradition.

The entertainment schedule includes the following free, family-friendly shows:

11 a.m. – Noon              2 Taks Backs

12:25 – 1:25 p.m.          The Jake Henson Band

1:45 – 2:45 p.m.            Standout Story

3:05 – 4:05 p.m.            The Cory Williams Band

4:30 – 6 p.m.                 The Flying Toasters

The premier event is a collaboration between Clear Channel Communications, Inc. and the Central Indiana Labor Council, which represents nearly 52,000 active and retired members from Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan and Hendricks counties.
