About: This year, make the holidays extra special for the entire family, by planning a trip to unique and magical Brown County for the official kick-off weekend for the holidays. Christmas in Brown County features a variety of old-fashioned delights. The quaint Village of Nashville twinkles with holiday lights. Festive songs fill the air from carolers decked out in Victorian costumes. Artisan galleries, craft studios, shops, and boutiques beckon shoppers. Old fashioned candies and homemade treats fill the air. Board the Little Nashville Express Train for a fun and free ride, and discover picturesque photo opportunities throughout town. Don’t forget to visit Santa and his elves at the Brown County Visitors Center Patio!

About: Contestants combine their culinary skills with architectural design to create extraordinary works of art. The Create it with Gingerbread Log Cabin Competition will take place on November 23. Gingerbread Log Cabin Display will be available November 24-December 14 at the Brown County Inn,

About: Ho Ho Ho Santa is here at eXplore Brown County to zip with your family and find out if you’ve been good. Santa will share the beauty of the winter landscape in the Brown County hardwoods forest. The terrain looks so different, the vista opens and you can see for miles as there is no foliage to obstruct your vision. Perhaps you will even catch a few snowflakes as you soar 90 ft in the air across the frozen lake. Santa will investigate with you the winter life of the forest. Who is sleeping the winter away and who is up foraging the woods? Take photos with Santa, sit on his lap and tell him what you’re dreaming of for the holidays. About: The Holiday Light Parade offers a variety of unique and brightly lit floats traveling through the Village of Nashville. Join us for an evening of parade fun! Hot chocolate and cookies will also be offered at various sites throughout the Village. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to the Light Parade. Donation sites will be located throughout the Village or you can give your toy to a float representative in the parade! Donated toys will be dropped off to the local Salvation Army for distribution to needy Brown County families.

About: Go back in time to the early 1920s, when the Steeles celebrated the holidays at the House of the Singing Winds, inviting neighbors and friends into their home. We have expanded this popular holiday celebration to encompass two consecutive weekends, Friday through Sunday. The town of Story was founded in 1851, at the height of the reign of England’s Queen Victoria. Each Holiday season, we offer a very special dining experience. We’ll be illuminating our dining room exclusively with candles and oil lamps. Our staff will be dressed in authentic Victorian garb, and we’ll have live traditional Christmas piano music.
