Rock Bottom, one of Indy’s first craft breweries, is completing its first major remodel since opening downtown in 1996. The modifications allow Rock Bottom to remain on the cutting edge in the craft beer and hospitality industry. As one of Indy’s founders of craft beer, Rock Bottom invested in the downtown location project to stay ahead of the curve and remain competitive in the market. The new look complements Rock Bottom’s classic, brewed in-house beers and made from scratch food.

Rock Bottom will celebrate its new look with an event July 22, 5 p.m., benefiting Simon Youth Foundation as its charity partner. The event will feature its original downtown Indy beer, Circle City American Light Ale, from its opening in 1996, available on July 22 for $. 96. In support of Simon Youth Foundation, 10% of all food day sales will benefit the organization.

Rock Bottom opened in downtown Indianapolis in 1996, during the first craft-beer boom. Today, Rock Bottom is still making history, with 37 locations, over 700 original brews, and more than 125 of the industry’s most esteemed medals and awards to the Rock Bottom name.

“We are committed to the Indianapolis market, so reinvesting in the downtown location made perfect sense for us,” said Tony Hiatt, general manager. “We are excited to celebrate nearly two decades in downtown Indianapolis and look forward to being that creative craft brewery and restaurant friends come to enjoy good times and good beer.”

The restaurant refresh is designed to help enhance guests’ experience. Open spaces to view the tanks, a community table in the center of the bar, new entry vestibule, new décor and lighting, and upgraded audio/visual experiences are just a few of the enhancements. The improved appearance, food, and beer choices support Rock Bottom’s simple idea about sharing good times with good friends through good beer.

Rock Bottom Downtown Indianapolis is located at 10 W. Washington St. The restaurant boasts the talents of Chef Victor Garcia and Brewmaster Jerry Sutherlin. For more information visit www.rockbottom/indianapolis, or call 317-681-8180.
