Southeastern Indiana’s 911 Gives Hope is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Guns & Hoses charity boxing event taking place Saturday, March 1, 2014, 7:00 pm, at Belterra Casino Resort in Switzerland County. All proceeds will benefit local children. During this inspiring evening, brave law enforcement officers and firefighters, from Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, who put their lives on the line every day, will put it all on the line in the ring to help protect those who cannot protect themselves. At the conclusion, the team with the most victories will take home the traveling Guns & Hoses Championship Belt.

In 2012 the Guns won for the second time and now the Hoses are looking for redemption. The Guns are looking to walk away with the Championship Belt for the third time. Be there ring side to see who will claim the belt in 2014.

This event is planned to support the regional Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) that opened in September 2009. The CAC is a neutral child-friendly place where law enforcement officers, child protection services , and prosecutor’s offices from more than 6 counties can bring children for a forensic interview due to an allegation of abuse or neglect. It is important to support this very special place where children, who may not have a voice anywhere else, can go to be heard. And to benefit Angels for Isaac, a non-profit charity for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research. Isaac’s dad is an Indiana State Trooper and they live in the tri-state area.

Guns & Hoses charity boxing match will feature exciting boxing matches. Each fight is 3 rounds and is judged by boxing officials. The participants come from around the tri-state area including: in Ohio, Colerain, Whitewater Township, in Kentucky, Hebron, Covington, Ghent, in Indiana, Aurora, Rising Sun, Greendale, Madison, Lawrenceburg, East Enterprise, and more.

The event kicks off at 7:00 pm at Belterra Casino Resort. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster; Belterra Casino Resort.

No member of 911 Gives Hope receives any type of compensation and 100% of the money raised will be given directly back to our community.
