Devour Indy presented by Faegre Baker Daniels returns Monday, August 19, 2019 and will run until Sunday, September 1. Plan a summer staycation or celebrate a loved one, friend or colleague with a night out during Indy’s premier restaurant week event.
Thanks to Devour’s partnership with Faegre Baker Daniels, Devour Indy raised more than $100,000 for the Riley Children’s Foundation in 2018. With the firm’s support, Devour Indy restaurants will continue to give back to the Riley Children’s Foundation by encouraging diners to donate via the Devour Indy website.
“Faegre Baker Daniels has a long history of commitment to service in the communities where we live and work,” said Kathy Osborn, Indianapolis office leader. “We are proud to once again present Devour Indy and hope it continues to be a time for diners to enjoy delicious food and support an incredibly worthy cause.”
For two weeks, this celebration brings foodies and cocktail connoisseurs together to indulge in three-course meals and seasonal spirits at more than 200 restaurants across the Greater Indianapolis area. Devour Indy Winterfest will kick off on Monday, Jan. 21 and continue through Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, at more than 200 participating restaurants around Indy.
Feast your eyes! Devour Indy Winterfest presented by Faegre Baker Daniels has released the exclusive, three-course menus from participating restaurants so foodies can start planning their Devour experience.

Honor Black History Month with special events
Attend the Art & Soul Kickoff at the Indianapolis Artsgarden Saturday, Jan. 28 and enjoy live music from the Griot Drum Ensemble, African foods and craft, featured artist Tiffany Marie Parker’s exhibition and more. Throughout February, the Arts Council will commemorate the impact of the African Diaspora on Indiana arts and culture with free performances. Events take place at the Indianapolis Artsgarden at 12:15 p.m. on select days.
Through March 26, the Central Library hosts Meet the Artists, displaying the works of prominent local African-American artists in a wide array of mediums. Art lovers are encouraged to meet the artists and enjoy an evening of free cultural entertainment – including comedy, dance performances, gospel music and soul, a fashion show and spoken word artists – during the Meet the Artists Gala Opening Reception Feb. 11 from 5:45 – 10 p.m.
For its annual Celebration of Black History Concert, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra offers a free performance at Hilbert Circle Theatre Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. This year, IMPD Officer Christopher Wilburn will also accompany the ISO, singing with the orchestra in his Hilbert Circle Theatre debut. Up to four tickets can be reserved.
Do Valentine’s Day Downtown
For a night of dancing, the historic Fountain Square Theatre Building is hosting Friday Night Swing Dance Feb. 10. The Rathskeller hosts Love is All You Need Dinner Dance Feb. 11. This event includes a three-course meal starting at 6 p.m. followed by a performance from First Time Caller Band from 8 p.m. – midnight.
For couple’s looking for live entertainment, the Grammy Award-winning jazz trumpeter Chris Botti returns to Hilbert Circle Theatre with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and performs renditions of popular standards as well as original compositions from his albums Feb. 10 & 11 at 8 p.m.
Celebrate Valentine’s weekend and get fit at the same time with the Be My Valentine 5k Run/Walk along the Cultural Trail Feb. 11.
Devour Indy is back – bigger and better
Devour Downtown has joined with Devour Northside and Midtown to create the inaugural year of Devour Indy. More than 80 Downtown restaurants will be participating and offering specially-priced menu items Jan. 23 – Feb. 5. Other partner deals include discounted admission to Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site and the Eiteljorg Museum, discounted Blue Indy membership and more.
Sports action
Downtown will stay busy with several Indiana Pacers games throughout February: 4, 6, 8, 13, 16 & 24.
Bundle up and head out for the Polar Bear 5-Mile/5K Run Walk Saturday, Feb. 18 at YMCA at CityWay.

The Indiana Repertory Theatre presents The Cay Jan. 28 – Feb. 26. The story is about overcoming hardship and prejudice during World War II times, set on a tiny Caribbean island.
